Attitude is Everything For Anything
I woke up this morning reflecting on where I am now versus where I was versus where I'm going. I'm not talking about my Real Estate career, although some of you might think that. No, I think about what lessons I've learned and what experiences I've had in life and what that has taught me over the last nearly 60 years of living. More importantly I reflect on how I approached each challenge form an unexpected Change that occurred.
"Life and Those that Live it are Doomed to Change"
Change is a constant both in our real life in real time throughout our world and the universe. No matter what we do, we cannot avoid change. It is a constant that is unavoidable. Given that change is here to stay, I have had to learn to adapt to it. No matter how well thought out the plan, there will always be an unknown ingredient we did not expect that will pop up it's ugly head. It's called Change and in most instances with human beings, it's an unexpected element that is generally unwelcome.
"Life is an Unavoidable Calamity of Unexpected Changes"
No matter how hard you try, no matter how much effort you invest into a given situation to effect an outcome, one thing that is out of your control is Change. No one can predict the unknown.
change hides behind a curtain and jumps out in front of you sometimes and it can be frightening. Sometimes it's slow to come and creeps up on you until its too late to reverse its effect.
So here's what I would suggest you try to do when Change decides to interfere with your life.
Adjust... Your... Attitude.
With Attitude, you can see past the conflicts created by the change and come to realize if the change that occurred unannounced into your life is important enough for you to accept or not. If your attitude is negative then you might bury yourself with conflict which can create another change, it can change "You".
"Combat Change With A Positive Attitude"
If your attitude in an approach to solve a conflict starts first with a
positive attitude you'll likely discover that the conflict or problem that "Change" created becomes less important and/or can be easier overcome.
I remember this quote when I speak of Change...
"God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other"
The older I become, the more I realize how much this applies to everything we do in life, but the one thing they left out is "Attitude"
So the lesson is, know that life and the journey you are on will always have "Change". Develop a Positive Attitude and you will be better for it because while others are in panic mode over changes, you will be calmer, cool and collective and they will love you for it...I'm Positive.
